A rising music group, Kentos aka Good vibes Music Band, has pledged to take live band music to a new level in the country and beyond after an electrifying official launch in Accra on Thursday.
The 14 members, who are male dominated with two sensational female singers, have performed at the Sky Bar at the Villagio in Accra over the years.
The group is renowned for performing all genres of music, local and foreign, to give customers memorable moments.
Co-founder and musical director, Ekow Joe, known in private life as Joseph Appiah, explained that they had been around for over a decade and needed to unveil the band to serve the whole country and at the beyond with good music.
“We’re redefining live band music with an energetic vibe and giving people of all ages the entertainment they deserve,” he said.
“Our uniqueness comes from the fact that we don’t use any electric instruments, we only play with brass and drums, and our style is more African even though we do all kinds of music,” he said. .
He added that the motive was to entertain and give Ghanaians and other nationals “good vibes”.
Joseph Appiah said that they plan to hold an event this year on a bigger platform to give people the opportunity to experience Kentos Band.
The group, at the launch, entertained the audience with outstanding performances of songs such as “Feeling Good”, “You and Me”, “Aint Nobody” and Osibisa’s “Fire”.
